The Equal Educational Opportunities Act (EEOA) of is a federal law of the United States of prohibits discrimination against faculty, staff, and students, including racial segregation of students, and requires school districts to take action to overcome barriers to students' equal participation. It is one of a number of laws affecting educational institutions including the Acts amended: Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The argument of this book is that differences in educational opportunity are largely due to the wealth of the tax base in the local community, that the quality of a child's educational opportunity is related to the particular community in which his parents' economic capacity enables him to reside.
